Job summary

Gulfstar Industries is seeking an Assembly Technician for a full-time, on-site role in the Austin, TX metropolitan area. You will assemble mechanical components and systems according to technical drawings and work instructions, using hand and power tools while adhering to safety guidelines.

You will inspect parts and completed assemblies for quality, document issues, and collaborate with supervisors to maintain timely, accurate production.

Qualifications

• Ability to work safely with hand tools and power tools for daily assembly tasks.
• Proficiency in mechanical assembly, including reading and interpreting technical drawings or schematics.
• Experience with soldering and related techniques for assembling electrical or mechanical connections.
• Strong quality control mindset, including inspecting components, identifying defects, and completing documentation.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in mechanical, industrial, or related fields is beneficial.
• Experience in oil and gas, petrochemical, manufacturing, or industrial environments is an advantage.
• Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate weights, and follow safety protocols and PPE requirements.
• Reliable communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
