Job summary

Winpak Lane Inc. in Rialto, California, is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to join our Assembly team. You will build and align custom packaging machinery from blueprints, verify quality, and help prepare equipment for shipment.

This hands-on role rewards precision, problem-solving, and operating complex equipment. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of mechanical assembly experience, can read blueprints, and is comfortable using calipers and micrometers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years mechanical assembly or related hands-on experience.
• Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, manuals, and written work instructions.
• Working knowledge of basic shop math and precision measuring tools.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, use ladders, work at heights up to 25 feet, and squat or sit for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assemble complex packaging machinery from drawings, work instructions, and specifications.
• Fit, align, adjust, and verify components within required tolerances; confirm final alignment before shipment.
• Inspect starting materials and assembled parts, identify shortages or defects, and communicate issues promptly.
• Install mechanical systems such as chains, pulleys, gearboxes, pneumatic components, regulators, and air lines.
• Use hand and light power tools, calipers, micrometers, scales, and other measuring devices safely and accurately.
• Troubleshoot build issues and partner with Engineering, Planning, Fabrication, and Production to resolve them.
• Follow safety, personal protective equipment, 5S, and continuous‑improvement requirements; maintain an organized work area.
• Support training and increasingly complex machine builds based on demonstrated skill level.
