DuHadaway Tool & Die Shop, Inc. in Newark, Delaware, is seeking a Precision Mechanical Assembly & Inspection Specialist to join our experienced team.

You will disassemble, clean, and prepare turbine components, perform ultrasonic cleaning, reassemble to spec, and inspect with micrometers, calipers, and height gauges to ensure quality. Expect a full-time schedule with first and second shifts, competitive hourly pay, a 10% second-shift differential, and comprehensive benefits including

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2–3 years in automotive repair, mechanical assembly, or related fields.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with teardown and reassembly experience.
• Experience with hand, power, and pneumatic tools and precise measurement.
• Able to read drawings and work instructions.
• Detail-oriented and able to follow verbal and written directions.
• Good communication skills; able to work independently or on a team.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, clean, and prepare turbine components for repair.
• Use ultrasonic cleaning, rinsing, and sandblasting per procedures.
• Reassemble components to spec and verify fit and quality.
• Operate tools and overhead cranes safely.
• Inspect with micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Record inspection results and production paperwork.
• Escalate damaged parts to supervisors or quality.
• Coordinate with production, quality, and engineering to meet schedules.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
