Job summary

Steelastic, based in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, is seeking a Mechanical Assembler 1 to join its production team. This on-site role involves assembling sub-assemblies and final systems according to engineering drawings and BOMs.

You will use hand and power tools, learn precision measuring and tolerances, and support repairs, inspections, and safety compliance. Experience in machining or the tire industry is a plus; high school diploma required.

Qualifications

• Experience: 1-5 years in machine building.
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Assemble sub-assemblies, final assemblies per drawings and BOM.
• Operate hand tools and power tools.
• Learn to use precision measuring tools and tolerances.
• Understand pneumatic and hydraulic schematics.
• Inspect work before handing off.
• Perform repairs/refurbishments to return to operational state.
• Inform supervisor of issues.
• Support production supervisor and coordinate with other departments.
• Conduct inventory cycle counts.
• Adhere to safety policies.
• Own basic hand tools and keep them at work.
• Other tasks as assigned.
