Job summary

JIREH METAL PRODUCTS in Grandville, MI is seeking a Mechanical Assembly Technician to assemble components and finished products from work instructions, blueprints, and schematics. You will set up your area, use hand and power tools, and collaborate with Production to meet the schedule and with Material Handling for parts.

You will inspect finished work for conformance, report defects, and follow safety protocols.

Qualifications

• Prior assembly, manufacturing, or general labor experience preferred but not required.
• Comfortable using basic hand tools and power tools.
• Able to follow written and verbal directions with strong attention to detail and quality.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble components and complete products to spec, following work instructions, blueprints, or schematics while meeting production, quality, and safety expectations.
• Inspect finished work for conformance and immediately flag defects or production issues.
• Operate required hand tools, power tools, and production equipment safely and correctly.
• Keep assembly as the primary focus while flexing to value-added work—boxing, secondary operations, packaging, and related manufacturing support—based on production needs.
