Job summary

American Rheinmetall in Michigan (Lansing) is seeking an Assembler to join our production team. You will assemble machinery and components per blueprints, operate hand tools, and keep production logs accurate. This role requires teamwork, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read schematics.

On-site position with safety and quality as top priorities. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and you must be able to obtain an overhead crane permit.

Qualifications

• Read and understand blueprints and schematics.
• Detail-oriented and consistent.
• Works well as a productive member of a team.
• Ability to properly maintain and perform basic repairs on equipment.
• Basic math, reading, or writing skills.
• Willing to obtain an overhead crane permit.

Responsibilities

• Assembles machinery and fabricated metal products per specifications.
• Reads blueprints or schematics and builds to those specifications.
• Uses various machines and hand tools to perform tasks.
• Maintains logs, records, and reports on production and maintenance.
• Maintains equipment and conveyors and performs basic repairs as needed.
• Inventories tools, parts, and supplies; contacts materials handler if supplies are needed.
• Checks products for quality and reports problems to supervisor.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
