Job summary

Bruker in Washington state is seeking a Mechanical Assembler to build precision mechanical assemblies for electron sources operating up to 200 kV. Reading schematics and following blueprints is essential.

Qualifications

• AA degree or higher required, training will be provided. Assembly experience is a plus.
• Being able to read, understand, and follow detailed engineering drawings and process specifications is a strong plus.
• High degree of hand-eye coordination and finger dexterity.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and ask for guidance when appropriate.
• Must be reliable and commit to a consistent schedule.
• Ability to receive feedback and take action when appropriate.
• Ability to work well with others.

Responsibilities

• Inspect quality of incoming parts.
• Assemble mechanical and electrical parts and sub-assemblies.
• Occasionally perform light machine shop duties such as operating drills, sanders, and material cutting equipment.
• Maintain good house-keeping and organization of work area.
• Reads and deciphers schematics, blueprints, and assembly instructions.
• Cleans and maintains equipment, including tools.
• Prepares work to be accomplished by studying parts lists and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
• Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
