Job summary

Ralliant is seeking a Mechanical Assembler in Chandler, AZ to support operations in explosive handling areas. You will receive on-the-job training and work under direct supervision while building and assembling components.

Responsibilities include weighing materials, pressing inert components, basic soldering, and following drawings and instructions. Monday–Thursday, 6am–4:30pm, with lifting up to 50 lbs; opportunities for training and advancement exist.

Qualifications

• Able to work under direct supervision.
• Must have the ability to understand, speak, read and write in English,
• Minimum one-two years of industry assembly work required
• Soldering/welding experience a plus

Responsibilities

• Work under direct supervision.
• Weigh and press inert & energetic materials.
• Set up and use analytical balance.
• Perform inert assembly operations.
• Minor cabling, potting, tinning and assembly work.
• Set up and use powder press for pressing operation.
• Some basic soldering experience.
• Performs various production assembly operations on components and subassemblies.
• Uses visual aids, drawings and verbal and written instruction to assemble, modify, re-work or re-assemble units.
• Install sub-assemblies.
• Must display dexterity to ensure safe handling of explosive devices.
• All work is performed in explosive handling areas.
• Attend offsite training classes to maintain certification requirements (e.g., JSTD).
• Perform other duties as assigned.
