Job summary

ESAB Corporation in Denton, Texas, is seeking a Cutting Mechanical Assembler to join our production team. You will translate blueprints into assembled equipment and work with power tools, jigs, and torque wrenches to build mechanical systems.

This hands-on role requires reading BOMs, basic electrical wiring, and testing components. You’ll collaborate with engineers and QC to ensure tight tolerances, safety, and quality as you contribute to the next generation of cutting-edge welding equipment.

Qualifications

• Translate technical drawings, exploded views, and diagrams into assembled equipment.
• Use hand tools, power tools, jigs, and torque wrenches to assemble components.
• Ensure components fit with tight tolerances and clean finishes.
• Spot misalignments or faults and collaborate with engineering/QC to resolve.
• Run functional tests and airflow checks before final testing or shipping.
• Perform basic electrical tasks including wiring harness installation.
• Load and verify machine software/firmware per customer specs.

Responsibilities

• Translate technical drawings, exploded views, and mechanical diagrams into fully assembled equipment.
• Tool up and build assemblies using hand tools, power tools, jigs, and torque wrenches.
• Fit and align components to tight tolerances with quality finishes.
• Troubleshoot misalignments or faults with engineering or QC.
• Test mechanical functionality and airflow, verify diagnostics.
• Perform basic electrical wiring and harness installation as per wiring diagrams.
• Configure and update control software per customer specifications.
