Job summary

ACL Digital is seeking an Assembler/Technician in San Diego to assemble mechanical components, sub-assemblies and sheet metal enclosures. You will follow assembly prints, wiring diagrams and schematics to build drawers, chassis, enclosures and racks, handling hand soldering, wire harnessing and cabling as needed.

The role involves working from established drawings, performing routine go/no-go tests, and documenting results.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 6+ months of assembly experience.
• Ability to read drawings and schematics.
• Experience with soldering, wire harnessing and cable assembly is a plus.

Responsibilities

• May be required to perform repair work as necessary.
• Performs other duties as needed.
• Performs routine go/no-go tests of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies.
• Sets up test devices using hand tools or automatic test methods.
• Documents test results.
• May maintain logs and records denoting malfunctions. Requires production experience with vocational experience in mechanical assembly.
• Reading, writing and basic arithmetic skills.
• The ability to work from established drawings and experience in soldering, wire-wrapping and cable harnessing.
• Ability to use hand tools and testing equipment.
