Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Assembler in San Diego to perform assembly of mechanical components, sub-assemblies and sheet metal enclosures.

You will work with prints, wiring diagrams and schematics, following defined methods and sequences for hand soldering, wire harnessing and cabling. The role requires 6+ months of assembly experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to read drawings.

Job Title - Mechanical Assembler

Shift - Shift One (1) - 6:00am - 2:30pm PST

Job Description Overview

Performs a variety of operations to assemble mechanical components, sub-assemblies and sheet metal enclosures. Works with assembly prints, wiring diagrams and schematics to assemble drawers, chassis, enclosures and racks. Works on assignments that are complex in nature where judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations. Determines and/or follows methods and sequence of operations in performing hand soldering, wire harnessing and cabling on assembly units.

• May be required to perform repair work as necessary.
• Performs other duties as needed.
• Performs routine go/no-go tests of circuits, components, instruments and mechanical assemblies.
• Sets up test devices using hand tools or automatic test methods.
• Documents test results.
• May maintain logs and records denoting malfunctions.
• Requires production experience with vocational experience in mechanical assembly.
• Reading, writing and basic arithmetic skills.
• The ability to work from established drawings and experience in soldering, wire-wrapping and cable harnessing.
• Ability to use hand tools and testing equipment.
