Job summary

SURGE Staffing is seeking a dependable Mechanical Assembler to complete assemblies accurately, safely, and efficiently in a production environment. The ideal candidate reads assembly drawings, uses hand and power tools, and maintains precise measurements and tolerances.

Pay is $19–$21 per hour with all shifts available. A high school diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of production experience are preferred. Candidates must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and follow safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of production/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, assembly drawings, shop orders, and packing lists.
• Experience using tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and similar tools.
• Basic understanding of fractions, decimals, and measurements.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Complete assemblies within established production goals.
• Read and follow drawings, assembly prints, standards, lists, and charts.
• Use hand tools, power tools, saws, and measuring equipment safely.
• Take accurate measurements and maintain required tolerances.
• Make basic mechanical modifications as needed.
• Assist crane operators when required.
• Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
