Job summary

SURGE Staffing is seeking a dependable Production Assembler in Canton, OH. You will complete mechanical assemblies, read drawings, and use hand and power tools to meet tight tolerances in a fast-paced production environment.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma and 2+ years of production experience, plus proficiency with tape measures, calipers, and micrometers. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. All shifts available.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of production/manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, assembly drawings, shop orders, and packing lists.
• Experience using tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and similar tools.
• Basic understanding of fractions, decimals, and measurements.
• Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.

Pay: $19–$21/hour

Position Overview

We are seeking a dependable Production Assembler to complete mechanical assemblies accurately, safely, and efficiently in a production environment. The ideal candidate is comfortable using hand and power tools, reading assembly drawings, and working with precise measurements and tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Complete assemblies within established production goals
• Read and follow drawings, assembly prints, standards, lists, and charts
• Use hand tools, power tools, saws, and measuring equipment safely
• Take accurate measurements and maintain required tolerances
• Make basic mechanical modifications as needed
• Assist crane operators when required
• Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
