Job summary

Fairway Staffing Solutions is seeking an Assembly Worker for 1st and 3rd shifts in Anaheim. The role involves performing assembly operations to construct components to spec, ensuring parts are identified and delivered correctly, and communicating with team members to execute production orders.

The position may require overtime and Saturday work. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and at least 6 months in manufacturing.

1st and 3rd shift

Monday - Friday and open to work Saturdays

Pay Rate:$19.00 - $20.00

Main Job Duties:

• Perform assembly operations to assign the construction of components accurately, thoroughly and to approved specifications
• Ensure incoming parts and materials are identified and delivered to appropriate locations
• Communicate effectively with department personnel to facilitate production orders
• Assist department personnel as needed and follow instructions as provided by supervisor or skilled personnel
• Provide second-person support in handling large parts
• Follow instructions as provided by supervisor
• Complete assigned work within given timeframe and according to specifications
• Cooperate with other employees in the department and maintain a safe working environment
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned work area
• Adhere to all company safety regulations and those specific to assigned work area
• Other duties as assigned

Education:

High School diploma or equivalent is required

Experience:

• A minimum of 6 months of working experience is required
• A minimum of 6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred

Skills/Knowledge/Abilities:

• Ability to operate common hand tools (drill, screwdriver, hammer, etc.) is required
• Knowledge of various hardware (screws, washers, bolts, rivets, etc.) is required
• Familiarity with shop equipment such as table, panel and chop saws and kick and drill presses are preferred
• Ability to work overtime when required
• Ability to arrive promptly for shift and stand and/or walk for duration of shift is required
• Ability to hear, speak, kneel, bend and use a step ladder or stool is required
• Ability to lift 40 pounds is required
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment is required
