Job summary

Price Chopper Supermarkets-Market 32 is seeking a Meat Cutter to join its team in the store meat department. The role focuses on cutting, weighing and labeling meat, ensuring quality, freshness and safety while delivering fast, friendly customer service.

Responsibilities include using knives, saws and grinders to prepare meat, maintaining a clean workstation, following trim specs and sanitation guidelines, and assisting customers with requests in a courteous manner.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass a cutting test.
• Satisfactory Performance Reviews.
• Strong communication skills.
• Basic Literacy Skills.
• Basic Computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Consistently work within to provide fast, friendly, helpful and efficient customer service at all times.
• Responsible for smiling, making eye contact, and thanking customer upon fulfilling customer's request.
• Maintain a neat, clean and organized workstation at all times.
• Responsible for cutting and preparing meat using knives, saws, cubers and grinders.
• Responsible for ensuring proper wrapping, weighing and labeling of meat merchandise.
• Responsible for adhering to all corporate meat department procedures and standards. (i.e.: case layout and trim specifications)
• Responsible for adhering to proper sanitation and temperature guidelines ( i.e.: to include corporate and state inspection standards).
• Responsible for receiving all meat products delivered at store location (i.e.: DSD and warehouse deliveries).
• Control shrink through adherence to related policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
