Job summary

BJ’s Wholesale Club is seeking a Meat Cutter for our Meat Department in Revere, MA. You will cut, grind, wrap and portion fresh and processed meats to our standards, and assist with seafood and deli merchandising when needed.

Qualifications

• Completion of a training program/apprenticeship required.
• Previous meat cutting experience required.
• Knowledge of automatic/hand wrapping machines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Engages and provides assistance to Members by making recommendations along with answering questions regarding meat, poultry, and seafood.
• Cuts, grinds, and/or processes fresh meats to company cutting standards.
• Weighs, packages, wraps, and labels cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood to company packaging standards.
• Maintains the meat department, stocking and sanitation as per company standards.
• Receives and unpacks meat, poultry, seafood, and cheeses in the meat cooler and freezer.
