Job summary

AVT Simulation, an Orlando-based end-to-end systems integration and modeling company, seeks a Materials & Logistics Specialist to support daily warehouse operations and inventory accuracy. You will assist in production through kit creation and ensure timely receiving and shipping in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and proficient with ERP/MRP systems such as Costpoint or SAP, plus forklift-capable and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–25 years experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse operations, and inventory control.
• Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or production environment preferred.
• ERP/MRP Inventory Management system experience (SAP or Deltek Costpoint).
• Ability to read pick lists, work orders, packing slips, shipping documents, and inventory reports.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office.
• Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive incoming materials, verify quantities and condition of shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Perform shipping functions including packaging, labeling, documentation, and coordination with carriers.
• Maintain accurate inventory records through inventory control systems and physical inventory counts.
• Conduct cycle counts, periodic physical inventories, and inventory reconciliation activities.
• Pull, stage, and kit materials for production work orders to support manufacturing schedules.
• Ensure proper storage, identification, and handling of inventory and materials.
• Track and document material movement transactions in ERP/MRP or inventory management systems.
• Support material replenishment activities and monitor stock levels.
• Coordinate with purchasing, production, quality, and program teams to resolve material discrepancies.
• Maintain warehouse organization, cleanliness, and compliance with safety standards.
• Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks as required.
• Assist with receiving inspections and non-conforming material segregation when necessary.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, quality standards, and inventory control processes.
• Spearhead continuous improvement initiatives related to warehouse and inventory operations.
• Wholly maintain inventory of material.
