Job summary

ATI is seeking a diligent material inspector to join our onsite team. You will mark defects, grind as needed, and ensure parts meet customer requirements and grinding standards.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, the ability to read procedures, and passing an in-depth vision screening. You will help maintain safety and clean working areas.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and follow written procedures.
• Pass in-depth vision screening required.
• Requires the use of judgement to inspect and mark defects.

Responsibilities

• Inspect material, mark defects and flaws for grinding and remove defects with hand grinder if required.
• Weighs, band, mark, stamp and identify material after re-grinding.
• Check dimensions and surface quality to meet customers’ requirements.
• Ensure compliance with established grinding techniques.
• Detect and report defective material and unusual conditions to supervision.
• Comply with safety regulations and keep the area clean.
• Perform other duties as required or directed by work leader or supervisor.
