Job summary

Master Machine in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Material Handler to move, store, and track materials safely across production and shipping areas. You will operate forklifts, stock inventory, prepare orders, and support cycle counts while following safety policies.

Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential. Experience with ERP/WMS is a plus; high school diploma preferred; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Warehouse, manufacturing, or material handling experience preferred.
• Ability to operate forklifts and other material-handling equipment safely.
• Basic computer and inventory management skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and unload incoming shipments.
• Accurately store materials in designated warehouse locations.
• Pick, stage, and prepare materials for production or customer orders.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material-handling equipment.
• Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts and physical inventories.
• Transport raw materials, components, and finished goods throughout the facility.
• Accurately verify quantities and product information against packing slips, purchase orders, and shipping documents.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Keep warehouse and work areas clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Report inventory discrepancies, damaged materials, or equipment issues to supervisors.
• Support shipping, receiving, and production teams as needed.
