Job summary

Nelson Connects in Petaluma, CA is seeking a Production Technician to support fast-paced manufacturing through hands-on production and inspection tasks. The role pays $18.50-$19.00 per hour and follows a Monday–Friday 7am–3:30pm schedule with overtime as needed.

You will perform production operations, inspect parts with microscopes, measure using micrometers and calipers, and help with gaging, deburring, and material handling while maintaining safety and 5S cleanliness.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write and communicate in English.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn manufacturing processes.
• Background check and drug test is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform production operations using instructions and SOPs.
• Conduct visual inspections using microscopes to ensure quality.
• Measure parts using micrometers and calipers.
• Support gaging, deburring, sanding, and material handling.
• Load and unload parts and move materials throughout the facility.
• Monitor equipment for performance variations or quality concerns.
• Identify trends in production or inspection data and communicate issues to supervisors.
• Maintain accurate production records and ERP data entry.
• Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace using 5S principles.
• Contribute ideas for process and workflow improvements.
