Wayne Wire Cloth Products, Inc. in Kalkaska, MI is seeking a full-time manufacturing associate with hands-on experience in fabricating, assembling, inspecting, and maintaining components.

The role supports precision work using blueprints, measurement tools, and a range of shop equipment in a safety-focused environment. The ideal candidate will read technical drawings, use hand and power tools, and perform quality checks with microscopes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and production documentation.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Must pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Operate power presses and manual kick presses.
• Use resistance welders, soldering, and brazing to assemble components.
• Inspect parts under a microscope for quality assurance.
• Read blueprints and production documentation to guide work.
• Use wire mesh shear tables and other shop equipment to cut/form wire mesh.
• Scan jobs in/out and track workflow with a computer.
• Perform tool/die maintenance using lathes, CNC machines, grinders, and drill presses.
• Measure parts with micrometers and calipers to ensure specs.
• Follow company safety procedures and PPE requirements.
