Job summary

Wayne Wire Cloth Products, Inc. seeks an Engineering Leader to guide design and optimization of manufacturing processes for customer-designed products at our Kalkaska, MI site. You will drive quoting accuracy, lead an engineering team, and partner with production to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

The ideal candidate combines aerospace-quality process know-how with strong leadership and communication skills to advance continuous improvement and on-time delivery across multiple plants.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent with relevant experience.
• Advanced proficiency in CAD design software for process design and quoting.
• Experience with NADCAP and AS9100 in aerospace is preferred.
• Strong abilities to analyze and optimize manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor engineering staff using hands-on, lead-by-example approach.
• Design and optimize manufacturing processes to support customer designs.
• Provide cost estimation and quoting input for customer-designed products.
• Collaborate with production and sales to improve labor efficiency and throughput.
• Support safety, documentation, and compliance with customer requirements.
• Drive continuous improvement and capital expenditure justification.
