Job summary

Aerotek is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for Mira Mesa, San Diego. You will work independently on projects tailored to customer needs, review pass downs, interpret drawings, and perform first article inspections.

You will operate heat treatment and laser welding equipment, use calipers, micrometers, and other metrology tools, and collaborate with engineers to drive product development. This contract-to-hire onsite role offers daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Experience in operating and troubleshooting manufacturing machines.
• Proficient in using inspection tools and metrology.
• Knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Ability to review and understand manufacturing drawings and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage and execute projects based on customer needs.
• Review pass downs, emails, and team messages to set daily priorities.
• Understand and interpret manufacturing drawings and diagrams.
• Perform first article inspections to ensure quality standards.
• Operate and troubleshoot manufacturing machines including heat treatment machines and laser welding equipment.
• Use inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and microscopes.
• Communicate effectively with team members and fill out necessary paperwork independently.
• Collaborate with engineers in product development and manufacturing processes.
