Aerotek is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for Mira Mesa, San Diego. You will work independently on projects tailored to customer needs, review pass downs, interpret drawings, and perform first article inspections.

You will operate heat treatment and laser welding equipment, use calipers, micrometers, and other metrology tools, and collaborate with engineers to drive product development. This contract-to-hire onsite role offers daytime hours.

Manufacturing Technician - Mira Mesa - $27/hr-$36.50/hr

Job Description

The Manufacturing Technician will work independently on various projects tailored to customer needs. At the start of each day, they will review pass downs, emails, and team messages to monitor priorities and goals. The technician must understand critical aspects of drawings and perform first article inspections, manage heat treatment machines, perform laser welding, and oversee manufacturing and finishing processes with guidance from engineers.

Responsibilities

• Understand and interpret manufacturing drawings and diagrams.

• Perform first article inspections to ensure quality standards.

• Operate and troubleshoot manufacturing machines including heat treatment machines and laser welding equipment.

• Use inspection tools such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, and microscopes.

• Communicate effectively with team members and fill out necessary paperwork independently.

• Collaborate with engineers in product development and manufacturing processes.

Essential Skills

Work Environment

Work hours are from 6:30 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with some optional overtime available.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $36.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
