Job summary

MDC Precision in Hayward, CA is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Estimator to develop accurate quotations for custom precision components and assemblies. The ideal candidate will review drawings, select manufacturing methods, estimate materials, labor, and outside processing to produce competitive bids.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Sales and Finance to ensure quotes reflect specifications and lead times, while identifying cost-saving opportunities and

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing estimating, process planning, or a related field.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Knowledge of CNC machining, milling, turning, welding, fabrication, and outside processing.
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Review customer drawings, blueprints, specs, and SOWs to develop accurate cost estimates and quotations.
• Determine manufacturing processes, materials, labor, machine time, routings, and outside processing.
• Develop quotations for standard and custom precision-manufactured products.
• Evaluate machining, welding, fabrication, assembly, and outside-processing needs.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Planning, Purchasing, Sales and Finance to ensure accurate quotes.
