Job summary

MDC Precision is seeking a Manufacturing Estimator to develop accurate quotations for custom precision components and assemblies. The role requires reviewing drawings, determining manufacturing methods, estimating material and production costs, and creating routings within our ERP/MRP system.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Planning, Purchasing, Sales, and Finance to ensure competitive quotes and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing estimating, process planning, manufacturing engineering, CNC machining, fabrication, or related environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of manufacturing routings, bills of material, and product cost structures.
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings and specifications to develop accurate cost estimates and quotations.
• Determine processes, materials, labor, machine time, routings, and outside processing for components.
• Develop quotations for standard and custom products.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Planning, Purchasing, Sales, and Finance to ensure competitive quotes.
• Evaluate outside processing and supplier pricing and identify cost-improvement opportunities.
• Develop manufacturing routings and cost information in ERP/MRP system.
