Job summary

Alum-a-Lift in Winston, GA is seeking a full-time Manual Machinist to set up and operate mills, lathes, drills, and grinders for precision components used in lifting systems. The role requires reading engineering drawings, selecting tools and materials, and maintaining tight tolerances.

You will inspect finished parts, perform basic machine maintenance, and collaborate with engineering and assembly teams to resolve fabrication issues while adhering to safety procedures and maintaining a clean

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in machining preferred.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and work instructions with tolerances.
Strong measurement and inspection skills using precision tools to verify part accuracy.
Knowledge of basic shop math for feeds, speeds, and dimensions.
Adherence to safety practices in machining and fabrication environments.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate manual mills, lathes, drill presses, and grinders.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
Select appropriate tools and materials; perform precise measurements and maintain tight tolerances.
Inspect finished components for quality and document results.
