Qualifications

• Manual machining proficiency and strong shop math.
• Geometry know‑how for calculating angles, radii, and bolt circles.
• Understanding of feed rates and the effect of adjustments.
• Expert setup capability with jigs, fixtures, arbors, mandrels, centers, and clamps.

Responsibilities

• Machine impellers, wear rings, bearing housings, covers, and seals to exact drawings.
• Translate blueprints and sketches into a machining plan.
• Execute precision cutting, grinding, shaping, and fitting operations.
• Verify critical dimensions with inspection instruments and document results.
• Troubleshoot with Engineers and fellow Machinists to resolve challenges.
