3+ years of machining experience, blueprint reading, and 1+ year with king-style boring mills or vertical turret lathes are required. Proficiency with precision metrology tools and safety standards is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional machining experience.
• Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical blueprints.
• 1+ year operating king-style boring mills or Vertical Turret Lathes (VTL).
• Strong command of precision measuring tools (micrometers, bore gauges, height gauges).
• Formal machining certification or relevant technical education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex setups and operations on large vertical and horizontal lathes to restore industrial pump components.
• Interpret intricate blueprints to reach tolerances as tight as .0005 inches.
• Select cutting tools, speeds, and feeds for precise finishes and dimensions.
• Rig and lift heavy components using overhead cranes.
• Safely operate forklifts for material flow and staging.
• Conduct in-process inspections with micrometers and dial indicators.
• Disassemble, rebuild, and reassemble large-scale mechanical systems.
• Follow safety protocols and quality system standards.
