Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking a skilled Machinist for our client in Cleveland, OH. The role focuses on manufacturing, repairing, and modifying critical components for the metalforming industry, ensuring parts meet tight technical specs and minimizing machinery downtime.

You will set up and operate manual lathes, boring mills, engine lathes, Bridgeports, and VTLs, read blueprints, measure with metrology tools, monitor operations, and maintain a safe, organized workspace.

Qualifications

• Experience operating manual lathes, boring mills, engine lathes, Bridgeports and VTLs.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate manual lathes, boring mills, engine lathes, Bridgeports and VTLs.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to determine machining operations.
• Take precise measurements with metrology tools to ensure parts meet specs.
• Monitor machine operations and adjust as needed in real time.
• Perform routine maintenance to keep equipment in good condition.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
