Qualifications

• Experience operating manual machine tools such as lathes and mills.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual lathes, milling machines, and grinders to fabricate metal parts.
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and job specifications.
• Select appropriate tools, machines, and materials for each job.
• Monitor machine operations and listen for irregular sounds to diagnose malfunctions.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Adjust cutting speeds and feeds to optimize performance and reduce vibration.
• Measure and inspect finished parts using micrometers and dial indicators.
• Load and unload material and align material to specs.
• Ensure all parts conform to engineering drawings and quality standards.
• Work closely with production supervisors and quality teams to improve efficiency, cost, and safety.
• Handle special projects as assigned.
• Follow all safety protocols and wear appropriate protective equipment.
