Job summary

Elec-Tron, a long-standing manufacturer in Wichita, KS, is seeking a Maintenance and Tooling Technician. You will maintain, troubleshoot, repair production equipment and tooling, and ensure calibration for efficient output.

In this on-site role, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, read technical docs, and collaborate with engineering to minimize downtime while upholding strong safety practices.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in industrial machinery and tooling.
• Knowledge of electrical systems in manufacturing and safe troubleshooting.
• Ability to read equipment manuals, tooling drawings, and maintenance procedures.
• Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnosing issues and repairs.
• Understanding of safety standards, lockout/tagout procedures, and safe tool use.
• Effective communication and teamwork with production, engineering, and quality staff.
• Basic computer skills for maintenance records and work orders.
• Experience in plastics, electrical components, or manufacturing is preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair production equipment and tooling.
• Perform preventive maintenance and calibration of tooling.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and implement repairs.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to minimize downtime.
• Document maintenance activities and follow safety protocols.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives on the manufacturing floor.
