Planet Pharma in Draper, UT is seeking a Machinist to set up and operate various tools to produce precision parts and instruments. The role involves fabricating and modifying parts for tools and machines.

You will measure with micrometers and calipers, align fixtures and tools, monitor speeds, and ensure parts meet specifications. Leak monitoring and routine maintenance are also part of the duties.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years manufacturing experience is required.
• High school diploma or GED typically required.

Responsabilités

• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using math and instruments such as micrometers and vernier calipers.
• Align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials onto machines.
• Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
• Measure, examine, and test completed units to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
• Set controls to regulate machining, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.
• Maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout and machining procedures.
