Job summary

Justrite Safety Group in Wellsburg, WV is seeking an experienced Machinist/Tool and Die Maker to design, build, and repair precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures for manufacturing processes.

The candidate must read blueprints, work with lathe/milling/drill/grinder setups, and apply CAD/CAM/CNC skills. A strong focus on accuracy, safety, and independent work is essential, with ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work overtime when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in tool and die making preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Machinist/Tool and Die Maker in a manufacturing or machine shop environment.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, sketches, drawings, and manuals.
• Experience with a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and grinders.
• Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and CNC programming and operation is a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret engineering blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces.
• Design and build precision tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures for use in manufacturing processes.
• Set up and operate a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, drill presses, and grinders to produce precision parts and instruments.
• Select the appropriate cutting tools, tool holders, fixtures, and machine accessories according to the job requirements.
• Measure, mark, and scribe dimensions and reference points on material or work pieces as guides for subsequent machining.
• Verify conformance of finished work pieces to specifications using precision measuring instruments.
• Repair and maintain existing tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures as needed to ensure optimal performance.
• Complete necessary paperwork and documentation such as inspection reports, maintenance records, and production logs.
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Other duties as assigned.
