Job summary

SVI BREMCO is looking for a skilled machinist to support industrial plant maintenance and outage work. You will operate manual drill presses, lathes, milling machines, boring machines and grinders to produce precision components.

You will read drawings, keep tight tolerances, and may reverse engineer parts without blueprints. Flexible hours and travel to sites may be required, with travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate manual drill presses, lathes, milling machines, boring machines and precision grinding machines.
• Must be able to single-point cut threads on a manually operated lathe.
• Ability to keep tight tolerances.
• Must be able to machine a part without a blueprint — Reverse Engineering.
• Ability to work on metals including stainless, chrome moly, brass, bronze, carbon steel, titanium, Stellite, cast steel, aluminum.

Responsibilities

• Operate the listed machining equipment to produce parts per specifications.
• Inspect parts, maintain tolerances and document results.
• Assist with tool and fixture creation for special setups.
• Collaborate with team to provide turnkey outage work for gas turbine plants.
