Job summary

New-Indy Containerboard LLC in South Carolina seeks an experienced Machinist to work under a Master Craftsman, developing skills to repair and maintain plant equipment at a world-class pulp and paper mill.

You will operate power tools, manual milling machines, and lathes; read blueprints; perform routine maintenance; assist during shutdowns; and prepare rigging for hoisting components. Union setting; safety and accuracy are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred.
• 5+ years related industry experience.
• Ability to operate industrial machinery and power tools.
• Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
• Knowledge of metal properties.

Responsibilities

• Operate power tools.
