Job summary

ANDRITZ is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to operate milling machines, drill presses and lathes in a fast-paced shop environment in Pell City, Alabama. You will read blueprints, set up machines, and inspect parts to ensure tolerance and quality.

Ideal candidates have strong math skills, familiarity with micrometers and calipers, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while maintaining safety standards. This position reports to the Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience operating milling machines, drill presses and lathes.
• Ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate milling machines, drill presses and lathes to produce parts to specifications.
• Measure dimensions using micrometers, Vernier calipers and other precision tools.
• Set up and adjust machines, align fixtures, and select tools for machining operations.
• Inspect finished parts for tolerances and quality, document results.
