Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational machining training preferred.
• Proven experience as a Machinist in production, with Swiss type lathes, mills, mill-turn equipment, centerless grinders, or multi-axis grinders.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Strong understanding of machining principles, including tool selection, speeds, and feeds.
• Knowledge of precision measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
• Adaptable to a fast-paced production environment with changing priorities.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and equipment monitoring.
• Commitment to workplace safety and ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate a range of machining equipment, such as Swiss type lathes, mills, mill-turn equipment, centerless grinders, or multi-axis grinders.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure precise part production.
• Select and install tooling, work holding, and fixtures appropriate for each job.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshoot to maintain optimal machine performance.
• Monitor machine operations, make necessary adjustments, and inspect parts to ensure quality and accuracy.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines within the manufacturing environment.
• Document work performed and maintain comprehensive production records.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production efficiency and quality.
