ABLE MILLING is seeking a CNC Setup Technician in Marquette, MI to set up CNC equipment for prototype and production medical devices, ensuring precision with measurement and gauging tools. You will verify sequences and conformance to requirements while supporting lean manufacturing and 5S practices.

You will collaborate with Development Engineering to optimize manufacturability and document tooling, process sheets, and inspection procedures, maintaining safety and quality throughout.

Formación

• Experience with CNC machine setup and tooling.
• Familiarity with GD&T and inspection procedures.

Responsabilidades

• Set up CNC equipment, adjust wear offsets, and modify macros as needed.
• Manufacture standard production and prototype medical devices.
• Machine parts using manual lathe, mill and grinding.
• Collaborate with Development Engineering for manufacturability.
• Document process sheets, prints, tool lists, and inspection procedures.
• Lead 5S by organizing the workspace and tooling.
• Monitor machining for out-of-tolerance conditions and adjust controls.
• Perform preventative maintenance on machine centers.
• Interpret GD&T specifications to optimize fixturing and offsets.
• Observe hazards and maintain safety in production areas.
• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
