Job summary

Coastal Pet Products, Inc. seeks a Facility and Shop Machinist to produce, repair, and modify precision parts and tooling for facility maintenance and shop operations. The role troubleshoots and repairs equipment to minimise downtime in a fast-paced industrial environment.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of manual machining experience, familiarity with CNC lathes, and ability to read blueprints; high school diploma or equivalent with technical training is preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus.
• Experience: 3+ years of manual machining experience; CNC lathes and manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.
• Skills: Read blueprints, use micrometers/calipers, and perform basic welding; familiar with manual machines and tooling.

Responsibilities

• Operate manual machines and CNC lathes to fabricate precision parts, fixtures, and tooling from blueprints.
• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on facility equipment (mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic).
• Maintain shop safety and cleanliness while managing tooling inventory and documenting repairs.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance teams on continuous improvement initiatives.
