Job summary

Sharp Manufacturing Company of America in Memphis, TN is seeking a skilled machinist to fabricate metal parts for repairs and new production. You will read blueprints, work from CAD data, and operate a range of metalworking equipment including lathes, mills, welders, and CNC machines.

Safety and quality are essential. The role requires a Journeyman Apprenticeship or 6 years of tooling experience, and the ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Qualifications

• Requires Accredited Journeyman's Apprenticeship or 6 years experience in machine tooling or tool and die making.
• Must fabricate parts, fixtures, tools or equipment from blueprints, CAD drawings, or written instructions.
• Operate and maintain machine shop equipment including lathes, milling machines, drill presses, surface grinders.
• Arc and TIG welding experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate metal parts for repairs and production from drawings or CAD data.
• Operate end mills, lathes, band saws, welders, grinders and CNC equipment safely.
• Maintain work area and ensure parts meet specifications using precision instruments.
• Follow safety procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
