Job summary

Sharp Manufacturing Company of America in Memphis, TN seeks a skilled machinist/fabricator to fabricate metal parts for repairs, prototypes and new equipment using drawings, CAD data and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities include operating lathes, mills, welders and CNC machines; maintaining quality parts and a safe work area; and using precision measuring tools. Starting pay is $24.33/hour, rising to $25.95/hour after one year, with overtime opportunities and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

Accredited Journeyman's Apprenticeship or 6 years experience in machine tooling or tool and die making.
Must be able to fabricate parts, fixtures, tools or equipment from blue prints, CAD drawings and oral or written instructions.
Must be able to operate and maintain all machine shop equipment including but not limited to lathes, milling machines, drill presses, surface grinders.
Arch welder and TIG welder.

Responsibilities

Operate equipment such as vertical end mill, lathe, band saw, wire welder, arc welder, gas welder, cutting torch, surface grinder and CNC equipment.
Follow machine safety procedures as applicable such as rigging and lockout/tagout.
