Job summary

Optimax Systems, Inc. is seeking a Machinist for the A-Shift (7:00am-3:30pm) to set up conventional and CNC machines producing precision optics components. The role emphasizes reading specs from blueprints, operating equipment, and inspection to meet print tolerances.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; vocational training desired.
• 2-5+ years machining experience.
• GD&T knowledge required.
• CNC Mill programming with Mastercam experience.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and conventional machining equipment to produce precision parts.
• Read blueprints, drawings and work orders to verify specifications.
• Coordinate measuring machines and inspection equipment for quality control.
• Learn and apply machining math, tolerances and formulas in daily tasks.
