Job summary

Optimax Systems, Inc. is seeking a Machinist for A-Shift (7:00am-3:30pm) to set up conventional and CNC machines and produce precision optics components. You will read blueprints, operate equipment, and inspect parts to meet print specifications.

The position requires 2+ years machining experience, GD&T knowledge, and proficiency with Mastercam, PC-DMIS or Calypso. OJT opportunities and a robust benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; vocational training desired.
• Minimum 2 years machining experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 2-5+ years mid to high level depending on machining experience.
• 3-axis up to 5-axis mill machines.
• CMM operation with PC-DMIS and Calypso software.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate conventional and CNC machines to produce precision parts.
• Verify product by inspecting precision parts against print specifications.
• Read specifications from blue prints and work orders.
• Learn to operate and coordinate measuring machines and advanced testing equipment.
• Advancement through Machinist ranks via education, experience and skills.
