Job summary

Optimax Systems, Inc. seeks a Maintenance Technician for the B shift (3:00pm-11:30pm) to maintain all optics fabrication machinery. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose issues, and coordinate with the maintenance team lead on vendor services when needed.

The role requires a high school diploma (AS/BS desirable) and mechanical aptitude in a manufacturing setting. Experience with electrical systems, forklift operation, and safety training are valued as you help keep the plant

Qualifications

• HS diploma is required; AS or BS desirable.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
• Electricity/electrician and forklift operation/rigging are also desired.
• Familiarity with Hazardous Materials Regulations and basic Microsoft PC applications are necessary.

Responsibilities

• Maintain all machinery for optics fabrication and perform repairs.
• Analyze and solve maintenance problems.
• May arrange vendor services with Maintenance Team Leader approval.
• Write and perform preventative maintenance procedures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, specs, and schematics.
• Create or revise work process instructions.
• Advancement through maintenance ranks based on education, experience, and leadership potential.
