Job summary

ANDRITZ in Neenah, WI seeks a skilled Machinist to fabricate, assemble, maintain, and repair metal parts with high precision. You will follow oral instructions, blueprints, and sketches to produce specified components while upholding safety standards and quality requirements.

The ideal candidate has machinist apprenticeship or equivalent experience, can read and interpret drawings, and works well with team members in a fast-paced shop environment.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of job related materials.
• Knowledge of tools, materials, methods, and standard practices of the machinist’s trade.
• Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions of the machinist’s trade.

Responsibilities

• Visualize parts from rough sketches and oral instructions.
• Use blueprints and sketches to guide fabrication.
• Remain standing for extended periods.
• Understand and carry out oral and written instructions in English.
• Learn on-the-job through instruction and observation.
• Work cooperatively with other employees.
• Work safely without risk to self or others.
• Make fine, controlled movements to adjust machine controls.
• Manipulate small parts with precision tools.
• Coordinate movement of multiple limbs during milling operations.
• Bend or stoop repeatedly as needed.
