Work Schedule:- Monday – Friday: 6:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
- Saturday: 6:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. (as needed based on workload)
- Overtime available and sometimes required
General OverviewOur client, a leading manufacturer specializing in progressive stamping dies and precision machined parts, is seeking a Precision Machinist to join their team. This role involves fabricating tools, fixtures, and precision parts using a variety of machining equipment, including engine lathes, vertical mills, CNC toolroom mills, drill presses, and surface grinders. The machinist will work from blueprints and specifications to ensure accuracy and quality, while collaborating with production management to resolve any construction challenges.
Required Experience & Skills:- Machining Technology & Mechanical Principles
- Advanced shop mathematics
- Machine setup & troubleshooting
- Blueprint reading and interpretation
- Ability to visualize and conceptualize tool, die, and fixture operations
- Understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)
- Experience checking and inspecting parts for accuracy
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in machining
- Strong ability to interact with machinists, engineers, and management teams
Primary Responsibilities:- Machine precision piece parts per print specifications
- Set up and operate all tool room equipment efficiently
- Maintain a clean and organized work area and tooling
- Perform first-off inspections to ensure compliance with design specifications
- Select materials, tooling, and raw materials, determining appropriate dimensional allowances
- Carry out complex machining operations, including compound angles and multiple setups
- Work with production teams to clarify requirements and resolve fabrication issues
- Ensure high-quality finishes through fitting and grinding
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
