Job summary

Modine Manufacturing Company is seeking a production operator to set up and run mechanically controlled equipment in a manufacturing environment in Rhode Island. You will install tools, calibrate settings, and ensure first piece inspection is approved while maintaining a safe, clean work area.

The role requires reading prints, operating various machines, adhering to safety procedures, and performing routine inspections.

Qualifications

• Maintains quality standards in production.
• Basic knowledge of tools and processes required.
• Reads, writes, adds, and subtracts.
• Reads tape measure and interprets diagrams/prints.
• Able to follow instructions and learn new duties quickly.
• Teamwork at all levels; contributes to safe operations.

Responsibilities

• Set up mechanically controlled production equipment (press brakes, saws, drills, spot welders, flame cutters, shears).
• Install tools, dies or fixtures to tolerances per blueprint; adjust speeds, feeds and depth of cut.
• Ensure first piece inspection approval and identify samples for operator.
• Maintain safe operation by verifying safety features and devices.
• Perform weekly machine inspections and maintain clean, safe work area.
• Maintain production and quality records and assist supervisor with irregularities.
