Job summary

Plansee Group’s Mi-Tech Tungsten Metals site in Indianapolis seeks a Design Process Engineer to develop and optimize manufacturing processes for precision machined components. You will create fixtures, develop CNC programs, and support advanced multi-axis machines to improve quality, productivity, and cost efficiency.

The role collaborates with Engineering, Quality, Production, and suppliers, using G-Code, Fanuc Macro B, and Okuma programming to uphold industry standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent).
• 5+ years in manufacturing engineering, CNC programming, process engineering, or precision machining.
• GD&T and blueprint interpretation experience.
• Fixture and workholding design experience.
• Experience with CNC programming and process optimization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and improve manufacturing processes for precision machined components.
• Design machining fixtures and select materials for strength and wear.
• Develop, validate, and optimize CNC programs for multi-axis platforms.
• Support 5-axis, turn-mill, and multi-tasking machine tools.
• Use G-Code, Fanuc Macro B, and Okuma User Task programming.
