DEM Elevating Equipment is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to join our production team in Salisbury, MA. This role focuses on setting up and operating drill press and hydraulic punch machines, reading blueprints, and ensuring a high level of precision and quality in metal fabrication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Machining experience preferred; on-the-job training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate drill press machines to drill, tap, ream, or countersink metal and other materials.
• Operate hydraulic punch machines to cut, shape, and punch metal parts.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine production requirements.
• Select and install appropriate tooling, dies, and fixtures based on job specifications.
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and required tolerances.
• Use calipers, gauges, and other measuring tools for accuracy checks.
• Adjust machine settings, including speed and feed rates, for optimal performance.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor troubleshooting on machines.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with company standards.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines.
• Assist in other areas as needed to support production goals.
